ESL Institute LA is the provider of supplemental education services and tutoring to clients at various levels and subjects. With us, our caring tutors tailor individualized learning plans that build the skills and attitudes clients need to succeed in school, in their profession, and in life. Affordable tutoring instruction is available in math, reading, writing, study skills, homework help, test preparation, business skills, and conversational skills in English, Spanish, and Japanese at ESL Institute LA.
We also provide education services not only to individual clients but also to companies, associations, or students.

Drawing not only on my teaching experience in Japan but also on my time studying at an American university and working as an expatriate in other countries, I founded ESL Institute LA with the desire to support students through English instruction.
Teaching is not a one-way street—every day, I learn just as much from my students as they do from me.

OUR FEATURES
What the client needs
One-on-one private tutoring helps us to accurately pinpoint the client’s academic strengths and weaknesses. Motivation to learn and succeed and strong self-esteem are also very important key elements of academic success. Our tutors always keep these factors in mind and address them continuously during the tutoring process.
Individualized plan for each client
We usually organize a regular instructor for each lesson. The client can receive some feedback, organize lesson plans, or receive direct improvements the client can make. Our instructors have experience working in different countries or had careers teaching both English speakers and international clients. They are always comfortable when clients ask questions before or after lessons. We are willing to help clients succeed in language improvement and knowledge.

OUR LESSONS
In-person lesson (at ESL Institute LA)
Our lesson system is a one-on-one lesson style with a set schedule. You can take the missed lessons within the contract period. We also coordinate lessons as additional lessons for a few weeks before exams such as Eiken, iBT TOEFL, or TOEIC. We listen to students’ requests flexibly and respond accordingly.
Academic online lesson (One-on-one online)
Not only do we have in-person lessons, but there are also online lessons with academic content that strengthen students’ weak points. We are flexible in responding to requests such as changing from in-person lessons to academic online lessons during your vacation time.
Sharing lessons
This is a lesson style in which the number of hours of in-person lessons and academic online lessons can be shared with family or within a company based on one contract.
One of ESL Institute LA’s features is that many of our students take lessons with their families.
Café lesson
We send our instructors to cafes near Torrance, where you can enjoy a free conversation lesson in a relaxed atmosphere over tea or coffee. We don’t issue certain hours in the contract. You can choose how many hours you want to purchase within a two-month contract.
Casual online lesson
As with Café lessons, these are online lessons for those who want to enjoy learning a new language casually in a free conversation lesson style.
Company / Home Lesson
We send our instructor to the company or home to provide lessons. We can also coordinate not only in-person lessons but also group lessons for the company.
We can provide English, Spanish, and Japanese lessons, and we will prepare a quotation based on your request, so please feel free to contact us for more detailed information.
